The 1929 Transcript
IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law
The 1929 Transcript was published by the senior class of the Chicago-Kent College of Law. The twelfth and final annual volume of the Transcript includes faculty photos and brief biographies, photos of the 1929 and 1930 graduating class, photos of postgraduates, and a list of undergraduates. The Fraternities section includes photos and lists of students enrolled in Chicago-Kent chapters of Delta Chi, Phi Alpha Delta, Delta Theta Phi, Phi Delta Phi, Nu Beta Epsilon, Alpha Sigma Iota, and Kappa Beta Pi. Other student organizations listed include The Round Table and the debate team, and a short section titled "Humor Court" is included.
This edition of The Transcript includes a dedication to Professor of Law and Real Property Ernest E. Tupes, a 1918 graduate. Also included are brief biographies of other faculty members, and a memorial to student Dell Martin Magnusson (1901-1929).

The 1922 Transcript is the fifth annual volume of the Chicago-Kent College of Law yearbook, as no yearbook was produced in 1921. This volume includes a brief history of the school, faculty photos and short biographies, and student photos. The 1922 Transcript also includes details on student organizations: The Gavel, fraternities (Delta Chi, Phi Alpha Delta, Phi Delta Phi, Phi Kappa Phi), and sorority (Kappa Beta Pi). A literary section consisting of student articles and humor are also included.
The 1922 Transcript includes a memorial to Thomas Moran, (son of Judge Thomas A. Moran, former dean of the Chicago College of Law) who was a member of the Lecturer Staff at the Chicago-Kent College of Law until his death in October of 1921.

The 1920 Transcript is the fourth annual volume of the Chicago-Kent College of Law yearbook. This volume includes a brief history of the school, faculty and student photos, as well as a list of post-graduate students. The 1920 Transcript also includes details on student organizations: the Chicago-Kent Athletic Association and Burke Debating Society, as well as fraternity (Delta Chi, Phi Alpha Delta, Phi Delta Phi, Phi Kappa Phi, Iota Phi Delta) and sorority (Kappa Beta Pi) information. Also included are a literary section consisting of student articles and a humor section.
The 1920 issue of the Transcript includes a dedication and memorial to Richard William (Rufus) Boddinghouse, an 1896 Chicago-Kent graduate who was Professor of Real Estate Law and the law of abstracts and conveyancing until his death on March 3, 1920.

The 1919 Transcript is the third annual volume of the Chicago-Kent College of Law yearbook. This volume includes faculty and student photos, lists of students enrolled in the classes of 1920, 1921, and 1922, as well as a list of post-graduate students. The 1919 Transcript also includes details on student organizations: the Chicago-Kent Athletic Association and Burke Debating Society, as well as fraternity and sorority information. Also included are a literary section consisting of student articles and poetry, a humor section, and a section titled "Military" which includes a list of Chicago-Kent students and alumni enlisted in World War I, photographs of students in military dress, and a firsthand account of the Battle of Belleau Wood in "The Devil Dogs," by student Clyde L. Todd of the 6th Regt. Marines.
The 1919 issue of the Transcript includes a memoriam to Edmund Whitney Burke, who served as Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County from 1893 to 1903, and as dean of the Chicago-Kent College of Law from 1904 until his death on September 7, 1918.

The 1918 Transcript

The 1918 Transcript was published by the senior class of the Chicago-Kent College of Law. The second annual volume of the Transcript includes faculty and student photos, student articles on legal education and the legal profession, a list and photos of post-graduate class members, alumni updates, and details of the Chicago Business Law School, a preparatory "course of instruction in law for business men." Student organizations are profiled in detail, including the Burke Debating Society, the Chicago-Kent Bulletin editors, fraternities and sororities including Phi Delta Phi, Delta Chi, Phi Alpha Delta, Kappa Beta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi, and 'The "K" Organization', an honorary athletic fraternity.
Of particular interest in this volume is the "Military" section, which pays tribute to the Chicago-Kent alumni and students who were in active service of the United States at the time of printing in 1918. The section includes photos of students and alumni in military dress and letters from the soldiers. Also of interest is the Athletics section, including photos of the Chicago-Kent basketball team and an overview of plans for the first Chicago-Kent baseball and tennis teams. A section entitled "Infantry" includes baby and childhood photos of the Class of 1918, and the "Humor" section includes several candid photos of students.

The 1917 issue of the student yearbook was the first to be published at Chicago-Kent College of Law. Included in The 1917 Transcript are faculty photos and backgrounds, photos of the senior, junior, and freshman classes, a list of the 1916-1917 post-graduate class members, a list of the 1915 and 1916 graduates, law fraternity and sorority descriptions and members, alumni news, and advertisements, as well as a humor section, illustrations, and poetry written by Chicago-Kent students.
