Abstract
IIT Chicago-Kent Professor and leading First Amendment scholar Steven J. Heyman gave the 2010 Constitution Day Lecture, "How Should We Think About Free Speech? Justice Holmes, Justice Brandeis, and the First Amendment." The lecture is based on an article entitled “The Dark Side of the Force: The Legacy of Justice Holmes for First Amendment Jurisprudence”, which was published in volume 19 of the William and Mary Bill of Rights Journal.
